The Living Arts

From Economic Forgiveness to Conscious Abundance

by Brent Ragan

EconomicLife teaches us many lessons. Right now, many of us are discovering the importance of our financial security. Forgiveness is a powerful starting point because it creates a space for new possibilities. What bettertime is there than now to forgive ourselves for certain decisions we’ve made? We can also extend forgiveness to others, including our government for the role it has played in creating the current state of our economy. However, we must be mindful to avoid blaming anyone outside of ourselves for our circumstances.
While this concept of economic forgiveness may be a challenge, isn’t it time that we all try something new? If you are open to a fresh start in a world of infinite possibilities, then let’s take an inner journey to feel what is next for you to reignite your spirit, bring back your joy and even guide you naturally to your path to abundance. Let’s remind ourselves of who we are and what is really important to us.
Find a quite place to reflect, meditate and simply be. Begin by sincerely forgiving yourself and others for current circumstances. Next ask yourself what you get excited about. What brings you joy? What are the gifts that you would like to give back to the world and your community? Allow yourself to dream. What would you like to do if you had all the money and time that you needed?
Why are these questions so important? When we tune into what brings us happiness, we begin to follow our own spirit. Begin today. What would you like to do right now? What would be fun for you? Remember that word? How many of us have been so busy just doing what we were supposed to do that we forgot about simply being? Many of us did this for the sake of “making a living,” but it often cost us our health and happiness. Unfortunately for some, much of what was accumulated during those times has now disappeared. It is time to start anew.
So let’s thank all the powers of creation for our wake up call and take action today to get back to what is meaningful in our lives. Let’s start taking care of ourselves and each other from that heart space vs. that place where we got lost in our minds, dogmas, jobs and being so busy that we forgot who and what we are.
It is more important now than ever that we honor our integrity so we can begin living a life of joy and abundance. For many, this may seem like a long way off. Discover the gifts you can give yourself by simply getting quiet. Turn off the bad news on the TV and the radio. Instead, let your own light shine again. It can and will when you allow it. Disengage from that electronic world for a period of time and get back into nature. Start doing something everyday for yourself and others. Doing what brings you joy will restore a healthy mind and body and create a happy heart.
This process will result in abundance because you’ll begin to attract other likeminded individuals into your life. You will notice that certain people resonate with you. You will recognize a spark in their eyes, and they’ll recognize it in you as well. By following your joy, you will align with your spirit which uses joy and excitement to guide you. Tuning into this requires that you learn to feel again. It will take quiet time and fewer distractions.
The world is changing rapidly. Pay attention to the opportunities all around you. It is in times like these that new prospects become available and fortunes are made. Unplug from the static and focus on what stirs your soul. Follow your inspiration. Surround yourself with others who are also ready and willing to create a new life. Live the joys that have been there all along but were once forgotten.
Educate yourself on new ways of thinking outside of the box. A new group of individuals have come together in Southern California to live this message. They are teaching it to others by playing a game called Abundance. It is similar to Cashflow, a game which involves playing out real-life relationships with occupations, incomes, investments and expenses. Abundance is like a spiritual version of this game in teaching “Higher Laws” where you can discover opportunities in your life that have always been there. The game is facilitated by successful, conscious entrepreneurs that are living their dreams and are committed to helping others get back onto their path to abundance. Isn’t it time to discover yours?
