The Conscious Life Expo
“The times, they are a-changin” is the phrase Bob Dylan made famous. Indeed, the times these days are calling for us to make a change in the way we’re living. For those who are just beginning to understand what it means to live consciously as well as those who have pursued the path of awareness for some time, there are still questions that beg for answers. A great place to discover them is at the 6th Annual Conscious Life Expo in Los Angeles. The Expo, which takes place February 8-10, will focus on opening new avenues in alternative health and other areas related to conscious living as well as making an impact on communities. The three-day gathering is a “brainstorming session on who we are, where we are, and where we are going,” says the Conscious Life Expo website. With speakers in the fields of health, media, business, and a variety of other topics, it’s easy to see what’s going on in our world and what we need to focus on in our own lives.
Robert Quicksilver, producer of the Expo, understands the necessity of learning how to take action in our day-to-day lives, and that it is important to continue to generate new ideas. Quicksilver realizes, however, that just talking about how to change our activities isn’t enough.
“We don’t have time to sit around and theorize about global warming,” says Quicksilver. “We have to take action, but it must be action based on a broad understanding and knowledge of what we are dealing with. We know it is non-violence which leads us to peace, social justice which frees all of us, [and] global prosperity which makes us all rich.’’
Special topics for the 2008 Expo include Health and Healing, Energy and Longevity, UFO: Uncovering the Cover-up, Accessing the Media and Publishing Industry, The Future of Conscious Filmmaking and 2012 and Beyond: Co-Creating a New Earth. One particularly interesting workshop to help people with their relationships is Relationship Friday, which takes place on February 8th. With workshops on marriage, communication, and how to find a soul mate, this is a great day to spend learning while reconnecting with or finding that special person just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Whether you are a newcomer to the Expo or a regular visitor, expect to have a great time while you learn, connect and grow at the 6th Annual Conscious Life Expo.—AV For more info, check out www.consciouslifeexpo.com or call 800.367.5777

The HealthKeeper’s Alliance will host the Fourth Annual Health Freedom Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center February 22-24, 2008. The Health Freedom Expo is the premier natural and alternative health gathering and features daily lectures with over sixty of the top national, regional, and local health professionals. Headline speakers include Marilu Henner, actress and author of 30-Day Total Health Makeover; Mariette Hartley, actress and author of Breaking the Silence; Kevin Trudeau, New York Times bestselling author of Natural Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About; Dr. Kurt Donsbach, Founder of Hospital Santa Monica; Dr. Joel Wallach, author of Dead Doctors Don’t Lie; Dr. Hulda Clark, author of the Cure for All Diseases series; Dr. Mayer Eisenstein, author of Unlocking Nature’s Pharmacy and “Health Freedom Fighter” Congresswoman Diane Watson. “What sets the Health Freedom Expo apart from other health expos,” states author Kevin Trudeau “ is that the information presented here is not ‘just to sell product to consumers.’ It’s about people who are passionate about sharing information. It’s about how our health freedoms are being taken away and it is about exposing the truth. Other shows are designed to sell product. Here, that is available, but [it] is not the emphasis. The Health Freedom Expo is about educating and being empowered.” Expo exhibitors will display a wealth of information and products for consumers, practitioners, and business owners. Over 150 different natural and alternative health options will be showcased. Many of these products are being introduced to the public for the first time. You’ll find natural and organic foods to sample, books and literature available for purchase and the opportunity to try out the latest health technologies such as state-of-the-art electronics, massage techniques, and other cutting-edge modalities. The HealthKeepers Alliance was created to provide its members with educational and legislative information about alternative and natural health. Their goal is to educate, encourage, inspire, and protect the rights of individuals who want to make informed choices about their health care. Through public education, members become aware of their health freedom rights. The Alliance also fights local and national legislation that attempts to take away health rights through legislative bodies and special interest groups.
