As long as I can remember, I have loved color and painting. I am fascinated by patterns in nature, textiles, and organic forms. My work has grown and matured into a symphony of color, repetition of shapes, and lush brushstrokes full of deep, rich hues. When painting I use numerous layers of oil color that are mixed as I work, while adding more layers of accent colors as final touches. After years of training and painting “objects”, I have been completely liberated and now simply enjoy the movement of color and shape. Along with the sheer pleasure of creating moods and feelings through paint, I find joy in knowing that each viewer sees something in my paintings that is uniquely theirs.
